The Eagles are an American rock band performing melodic guitar country rock and soft rock. During the years of its existence (1971-1981) five times topped the American pop singles charts (Billboard Hot 100) and four times - the hit parade of albums (Billboard Top 200).
Their 1976 hit collection Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975, released in 1976, sold 38 million copies, making it the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) best-selling album of all time, beating Michael Jackson's Thriller; this compilation of the band is the most popular album in the USA. In total, 65 million copies of their albums have been sold in America, making them the third most popular US collective of all time, after The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. In 2019, the group entered the Forbes list of the highest paid musicians. The amount earned was $ 100 million, this is the fourth place in the ranking.
